Well, fellow HODers, it's my turn to do time in the Mediterranean. Shortly after Thanksgiving our ship, USS O'Bannon DD-987 will deploy for six months, relieving ships that have been there for the past six. It's hard to leave the wife and kids behind, the Pearl Export Select and HOD, but I look at it a little differently just to justify my time away, and that is whoever we're relieving can get back home to their loved ones for a much-needed reunion. I have been enjoying HOD off and on, but internet connections will be limited while we are out at sea, so I doubt I will be able to keep tabs with the haps.
Steve, thanks a mil for this forum. You give me something to look forward to as far as homecoming is concerned, along with coming home to the wife and kids. Until the next Blushda Lesson and Vinnie updates...
Anyone who would like to keep correspondence via e-mail can do so. Just shoot me a PM between now and Thanksgiving and I'll get you the contact info.
Regards,
GSM2 Flores, USN, aka numeroUnoHODfan

My prayers go with you and your family during this time of separation. I am grateful for all of you that serve our country without question. I am a veteran and I will keep in touch via PMs and through prayer. Keep your head down and your eyes open. Gods speed, come home safe, there is still a ton to learn and share here. PT.

I didn't know you were in the NAV. God bless you and your family during this time and thanks for your service.
Did you ever consider switching over to the Navy's music program?
Best,
Andy

Thank You ALL!!!
I didn't expect any less from my HOD bruthas...
Andy, MU2!!! Glad you completed your tour successfully. I never thought about the music prog in the Navy, I always underestimated my reading abilities, especially when it comes to reading melody. I am barely getting by The New Breed... LOL...
Yes, the countdown has started, and all the well wishes are taken to heart. 13 more days.
Thanks again!!!
